About Stefan Hefter
Stefan Hefter is an experienced consulting partner with over 20 years of expertise in the defense sector. He has in-depth industry knowledge and an extensive network within the German Armed Forces and industry. Since January 2022, he has been Head of Defense in the Public Sector Consulting division at KPMG AG. Previously, he was a partner at IBM Global Business Services, where he led digitalization in the defense and intelligence sector. Stefan holds a master's degree in physics from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and began his career as a senior consultant at Lotus Development GmbH. He has led numerous significant projects, including the development of a digitalization platform for armored ground vehicles and the introduction of a high-security solution for mobile devices in the German Armed Forces. In addition to his professional career, Stefan Hefter is married and has three children.
