Dominik Fanta studied mechanical and safety engineering and holds a Masters Degree in Engineering. He joined Airbus the first time in 2012 and 2016 as thesis worker in mechanical engineering and supported helicopter and aircraft programs such as NH90 NATO-helicopter and Airbus A350. After that he started his professional career in a start-up as project leader for sensor-projects and built-up new technology fields about Augmented Reality usage in production and manufacturing. With his additional qualification as Safety Engineer, he was also holding the staff-role as occupational health and safety officer. In 2019 he joined the Airbus Digital Transformation Office (DTO) and was responsible for digitalization and new ways of working initiatives in Airbus manufacturing including IoT, Augmented Reality tools, Sensors and Blockchain technology.
Dominik holds 20 years’ experience as fire-fighter and paramedic and has deep knowledge in firefighting, medical services and disaster-management.
Today he is acting as business developer and business entrepreneur in the Airbus New Business department focusing on public safety. Dominik takes responsibility for strategic new business opportunities in the fields of firefighting, Emergency Medical Services and Disaster & Crisis Management. He was in charge of several public safety initiatives such as Telemedicine and LifeSaver and today he is leading Airbus initiatives in Crisis Management.
