Dennis Richmann studied business informatics at the Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW) in Bergisch Gladbach and at the same time attended the Georg-Simon-Ohm-Berufskolleg for vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration. After completing his vocational training as a senior fire inspector, he worked as a platoon leader at a fire and rescue station and in the information systems department at the Cologne fire department. While working, he studied for a Master of Science in IT Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach and, after successfully passing the career examination for the fire department in career group 2, second entry level, was able to work as deputy and then department head of the Emergency Services III, Information Systems department at the Cologne Fire Brigade.
