About Achim Marikar
Mr. Achim Marikar studied communications engineering and technical computer science at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and has been involved with telecommunications systems for many years, including the topics of quality of services, high availability and control centre communication in particular. He has worked in research, for a telephony provider and a manufacturer of control centre communication systems, radio integration and special conference systems. He has managed numerous projects at home and abroad to upgrade communication systems for control centres in the areas of public safety, energy and transport.
Since 2022, Mr Marikar has been responsible for consulting and planning in the areas of secure network infrastructures and critical communications at IABG. He is also responsible for IABG's research tasks in the field of artificial intelligence for control centres, so that they can continue to perform their tasks efficiently and successfully in the future.
