PMRExpo will be officially opened by Bernhard Klinger, Chairman of the Board of PMeV, and Herbert Reul, Minister of the Interior of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, on 28 November 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Connection Area.

High quality speakers at the PMRExpo Summit

The trade fair will be accompanied by a three-day summit offering an extensive programme revolving around current themes like 5G campus networks, cybersecurity, broadband networks for critical infrastructures and public safety as well as control centres in the context of mission- and business-critical Secure Communications and professional mobile radio.

The PMeV, the conceptual sponsor of PMRExpo, and the organisers have developed the programme in close cooperation and on the basis of the expertise of PMeV members. The summit offers the industry an important forum, in which the latest technologies, security aspects and industry developments are presented. Here, the participants also have the possibility to enter into an exchange with recognised experts of the industry. One of these experts is Andreas Gegenfurtner, President of the Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS), who will open the second summit day. Other practical lectures occupy themselves with, among other topics, the significance and market development of 5G campus networks, artificial intelligence for supporting decision making in control centres, the protection of critical infrastructures from cyber attacks and physical threats as well as emergency and crisis management.

Connecting Area – Exchange and networking

Supplementing the PMRExpo Summit, the Connecting Area offers further possibilities for networking with exhibitors, trade visitors, start-ups and media representatives as well as a diverse lecture programme. This offers exciting insights into the industry: from expert lectures through product presentations to start-up pitches and the award ceremony for the Hackathon@PMRExpo. The presentations will be simultaneously interpreted. The Hackathon@PMRExpo, taking place for the first time, is oriented to exhibitors, visitors and interested parties of PMRExpo and brings together the smartest tech talents to address the challenges of the future. As the leading European trade fair for Secure Communications, PMRexpo, with the Summit, the Connecting Area and the Hackathon@PMRExpo, is an important platform for exchange and inspiration for all market participants.

New app for exhibitors and visitors

For the first time, all exhibitors and visitors have an app for PMRExpo at their disposal. It enables easy and well-structured access to exhibitor data, including hall plans as well as information about the programme and offers useful networking functions. The digital ticket required by exhibitors, visitors and the press to access the trade fair must also be stored in the PMRExpo app.
