About Markus Lauer
Joined the German Armed Forces in 1992, branch of service: artillery (firing and reconnaissance). Studied history (M.A.). Battery commander, Artillery Reconnaissance Battalion 121 in Tauberbischofsheim and lecture hall manager, Artillery School in Idar-Oberstein. 2nd Joint Armed Forces General/Admiral Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College. Subsequently deployed in various positions in military intelligence, including at the Federal Ministry of Defense SE I 3, in the 10th Armored Division, the MN Kdo OpFü, and as head of department at the Joint Intelligence Center (JIC). Seconded as military advisor to the Foreign Office. Deployments in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo, OSCE election observer in Ukraine. Currently head of the umbrella integrated project team for unmanned systems of all dimensions in the Air Force Command. Married, two daughters (18 and 16), lives near Würzburg.
