Erfolgreicher Start für das nächste Level der PMRExpo

„So wie sich die Aussteller in diesem Jahr zur PMRExpo präsentiert haben, hat die Messe ein komplett neues Gesicht bekommen“, so der Eindruck vieler Aussteller und Besuchende nach drei Tagen Messeerlebnis. Mit diesem beeindruckenden Auftritt bekräftigte die PMRExpo 2023 ihre Relevanz als europäische Leitmesse für Sichere Kommunikation und setzte neue Maßstäbe. Der Erfolg markiert einen entscheidenden Schritt für die zukünftige Weiterentwicklung der Messe.„Was die diesjährige PMRExpo in Umfang und Qualität geboten hat, ist sicherlich ein neues Level. Als europäische Business- und Innovationsplattform für sichere Kommunikation haben wir ein wichtiges Zeichen gesetzt und wollen die führende Rolle der PMRExpo im Markt für sichere und hochverfügbare Kommunikation weiter ausbauen“, so Oliver Frese, Geschäftsführer der Koelnmesse. „Wir sind die Drehscheibe für Branchenführer und Spezialisten im Bereich der sicheren Kommunikation und des professionellen Mobilfunks. Neben den bekannten Kernthemen öffentliche Sicherheit und Kritische Infrastrukturen werden wir uns in Zukunft weiter verstärkt auch auf industrierelevante Themen wie 5G Campusnetze und Cybersecurity konzentrieren“, so der Geschäftsführer weiter.
Zu einem positiven Fazit kam auch Bernhard Klinger, Vorstandsvorsitzender des Bundesverbandes Professioneller Mobilfunk (PMeV), dem ideellen Träger der Messe. „Das Ziel, die PMRExpo als europäische Leitmesse für Sichere Kommunikation noch vielfältiger, digitaler und internationaler aufzustellen, ist 2023 erreicht worden. Das Ausstellerangebot war quantitativ, qualitativ und in der vom PMeV erhofften Themenbreite hervorragend. Die rasant voranschreitende Digitalisierung über die einsatz- und geschäftskritischen mobilen Breitband-Kommunikation spiegelte sich sowohl bei den Ausstellern als auch in den Vorträgen wider. Wir werden den eingeschlagenen Weg gemeinsam mit der Koelnmesse fortsetzen und blicken zuversichtlich auf die PMRExpo 2024.“
Mehr Aussteller und Besuchende
Die PMRExpo bringt Unternehmen aus den Bereichen Anwendungslösungen, Leitstellen- und Sicherheitstechnik, Infrastrukturelemente, Gerätezubehör sowie Dienstleister an einem Ort zusammen. Insgesamt 236 Aussteller aus 25 Ländern präsentierten ihre Lösungen und Innovationen rund um sichere Kommunikation und professionellen Mobilfunk für BOS, KRITIS und Industrie. Sie trafen auf rund 5.000 Besuchende aus 57 Ländern. Insgesamt kamen 37 Prozent der Besuchenden aus dem Ausland. Neben Deutschland kamen viele Besuchende aus dem europäischen Ausland sowie aus dem Nahen Osten und Amerika. Die hohe Qualität auf beiden Seiten - Aussteller und Besuchende - macht die PMRExpo zu einer wichtigen internationalen Business-Plattform mit hoher Reichweite.
Networking trifft auf Branchenimpulse
Der Fokus der Messe auf Wissenstransfer und praxisnahe Einblicke wurde durch die Integration verschiedener Veranstaltungselemente verstärkt. So bot der PMRExpo Summit der Branche ein wichtiges Forum, auf dem die neuesten Technologien, Sicherheitsaspekte und Geschäftschancen vorgestellt wurden. Hier hatten die Teilnehmenden zudem die Möglichkeit, sich mit renommierten Branchenexpertinnen und -experten auszutauschen. Das Summit-Programm wurde vom PMeV und der Koelnmesse in enger Zusammenarbeit und auf Basis der Expertise der PMeV-Mitglieder entwickelt. Ergänzend zum Summit bot die Connecting Area weitere Möglichkeiten zum Networking mit Ausstellern, Fachbesuchenden, Start-ups und Medienvertretenden sowie ein abwechslungsreiches internationales Vortragsprogramm. Dieses gab praxisnahe Einblicke in die Branche: von Expertenvorträgen über Produktpräsentationen bis hin zu Start-up-Pitches und der Preisverleihung des Hackathon@PMRExpo. Mit den beiden Formaten wurde die PMRExpo ihrem Anspruch „Knowledge Leader“ für die Branche zu sein gerecht.

"The way the exhibitors presented themselves this year for PMRExpo has given the trade fair a completely new face", was the the impression of many exhibitors and visitors after three days of the trade fair experience. With this impressive presence, PMRExpo 2023 reinforced its relevance as the leading European trade fair for Secure Communication and set new standards. The success marks a decisive step for the continued future development of the trade fair."What this year's PMRExpo offered in terms of scope and quality is surely a new level. As a European business and innovation platform for Secure Communication, we have set an important standard and want to continue to expand the leading role of PMRExpo in the market for secure and readily-available communication", according to Oliver Frese, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse. "We are the hub for industry leaders and specialists in the field of Secure Communication and of professional mobile radio. In addition to the familiar core themes of public safety and critical infrastructures, we will in future also concentrate even more on themes of relevance for industry like 5G campus networks and cybersecurity", the COO continued.
Bernhard Klinger, Chairman of the Board of the Bundesverband Professioneller Mobilfunk (PMeV), the conceptual sponsor of the trade fair, also came to a positive conclusion. The goal to make PMRExpo, Europe’s leading trade fair for Secure Communication, even more diverse, more digital and more international was achieved in 2023. The exhibitor offering was outstanding in terms of quantity, quality and in the breadth hoped for by PMeV. Rapidly advancing digitalisation via mission- and business-critical mobile broadband communication was reflected both in the exhibitors and in the lectures. We will continue along the path we have embarked on with Koelnmesse and look forward with optimism to PMRExpo 2024.“
More exhibitors and visitors
PMRExpo brings together companies from the fields of application solutions, control centre and security technology, infrastructure elements, device accessories and service providers at one place. A total of 236 exhibitors from 25 countries presented their solutions and innovations revolving around Secure Communication and professional mobile radio for BOS, KRITIS and industry. They met with around 5,000 visitors from 57 countries. A total of 37 percent of visitors came from abroad. In addition to Germany, many visitors came from other European countries as well as from the Middle East and the Americas. The high quality on both sides - exhibitors and visitors - makes PMRExpo an important international business platform with a broad reach.
Networking meets industry impulses
The focus of the trade fair on knowledge transfer and practical insights was intensified by the integration of various event elements. The PMRExpo Summit thus offered the industry an important forum, in which the latest technologies, security aspects and business opportunities were presented. Here, participants also have the possibility to enter into an exchange with renowned industry experts. The PMeV and Koelnmesse developed the summit programme in close cooperation and on the basis of the expertise of PMeV members. Supplementing the summit, the Connecting Area offered further possibilities for networking with exhibitors, trade visitors, start-ups and media representatives as well as a diverse and international lecture programme. This offered practical insights into the industry: from expert lectures through product presentations to start-up pitches and the award ceremony for the Hackathon@PMRExpo. With the two formats, the PMRExpo met its claim of being the "Knowledge Leader" for the industry.

PMRExpo will take place from 26 to 28 November 2024 in the coming year.
