200 exhibitors currently registered +++ Growth of around ten percent expected +++ PMRExpo celebrates 25th anniversary
PMRExpo is heading toward a record year in 2026: already five months prior to the start of the event, more than 200 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in the leading European trade fair for Secure Communications. This means that more than 96 percent of the exhibition space of PMRExpo 2025 has already been booked for 2026. On the basis of the development to date, Koelnmesse and the Bundesverband Professioneller Mobilfunk (PMeV), conceptual sponsor of PMRExpo, are expecting growth of around ten percent.
"There has never been a comparable booking status five months prior to the start of the event up to now", says Alexander Wolff, Director of PMRExpo. "The strong demand underlines the relevance of PMRExpo as a central European platform for secure mission and business-critical communications and at the same time demonstrates how great the need is for professional communications solutions as well as a professional exchange within the industry", PMeV Chairman Bernhard Klinger explains: "The outstanding booking status of PMRExpo 2026 impressively emphasises the enormous importance for the industry of secure and mission and business-critical communications. Particularly against the background of the tense geopolitical situation, increasing requirements for resilience and crisis prevention as well as the advancing digital transformation of the economy, the need for highly available and secure, professional communications solutions is growing steadily. As the leading European trade fair for Secure Communications, PMRExpo provides the central platform for innovation, exchange and dialogue between industry, users and politics."
High level of participation of national and international market participants
Among the companies that have registered early are many national and international market and innovation leaders of the industry. These include, among others, 450connect, Airbus Secure Land Communications, eurofunk Kappacher, Frequentis, Hexagon, HMF Smart Solutions, Motorola Solutions, Sepura and Tait Communications. With ENTEL, Haven Technologies, High Sec Labs as well as Teltronic, further international providers have also confirmed their first time participation as main exhibitors.
Mission-critical communication of the next generation
PMRExpo promotes an exchange of knowledge and experience revolving around secure, resilient and networked communication in critical mission and operations environments. The focus is on networked communications, control centre and data systems for authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS), critical infrastructures (KRITIS), industry and many other economic sectors. Complementing professional mobile communications, themes like 5G, artificial intelligence, satellite communications, cyber-resilience and civil-military cooperation are gaining in importance.
Parallel with the trade exhibition, the PMRExpo Summit offers a premium conference programme under the key theme of "Networked resiliently. Challenges and solutions in the critical communications of the next generation." Here, experts discuss current challenges, technological developments and future prospects of the industry.
Additional impulses for knowledge transfer and networking are provided by specialised formats like the 5G-Hub for Private Networks, an own 5G theme day within the Connecting Area, the Start-up Area as well as the Hackathon@PMRExpo in cooperation with COREVAS GmbH & Co.KG.
