Highlights of PMRExpo 2025
Connecting Area?
The Connecting Area is the central meeting point of the fair. There will be a free stage programme with lectures, presentations and practice-oriented insights on all three days of the fair. New this year: the trade programme "Private 5G live – solutions for connected security and digital sovereignty" takes place for the first time on Tuesday, 25 November from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Connecting Area is at the same time the most important networking location of PMRExpo and provides many opportunities to enter into discussion with leading experts of the industry.
Hackathon@PMRExpo powered by Corevas
The Hackathon@PMRExpo powered by Corevas brings together 40 young tech talents, and thus considerably more than last year, for a 48-hour design and coding marathon. The goal is to develop AI-supported solutions that improve crisis management, support decision making processes and increase the effectiveness of communication in critical situations.?Those interested can connect with participants and supporters on site and become familiar with current ideas from the developer community. The opening takes place on 25 November; the final presentations follow on 27 November on the Connecting Area stage.
5G Hub for Private Networks
Once again in 2025, exhibitors in the special areas will demonstrate live how private 5G networks are redefining networked applications in aviation, production, mobility, logistics and critical infrastructures. Visitors will experience real-world scenarios and technological innovations that boost efficiency, flexibility and security while ensuring full data sovereignty. Represented in the 5G Hub for Private Networks are Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, Campus Genius, FBI GmbH, Fraunhofer FOKUS, Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, Nokia, Riedel Communications and Uplink/Ericsson.
PMRExpo Summit
The summit offers a broad programme with high-level representatives from authorities, science and industry. The focus in 2025 is on the themes of critical infrastructures, authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS) and public safety as well as on deeper insights into police and fire brigade on 26 November. Developments in the control centre segment will also be discussed extensively. A ticket is required for participation, which also authorises attendance of the "PMRExpo meets Wehrtechnik" symposium.
PMRExpo and the PMRExpo Summit are organised by Koelnmesse and the Bundesverband Professioneller Mobilfunk e.V. (PMeV) as conceptual sponsor.
"PMRExpo?meets?Wehrtechnik" symposium
The symposium is taking place for the first time parallel with PMRExpo and focuses on current topics surrounding drone and cyber technology. It promotes a direct exchange between the German armed forces, BOS and the industry. Experts from, among others, the German armed forces, disaster relief organisations, research & education and the industry will provide information on current technologies and developments on 25 and 26 November. The symposium can be attended with the same ticket also valid for the PMRExpo Summit.
