Marc Emmelmann

Marc Emmelmann (Dipl.-Ing.) is a senior scientist at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin. He received his degree with summa cum laude honors from the Technical University of Berlin. With more than 25 years of experience in architecture design and protocol implementation for next-generation networks, Marc Emmelmann heads up research into wireless networks, 5G test beds, and infrastructures in the Software-based Networks business unit at FOKUS. Marc Emmelmann is an active member of the IEEE and several IEEE societies. In addition, he has many years of volunteer experience in standardization and has been active as chair, co-chair, and technical contributor in various IEEE 802.11 task groups and standing committees.
