Presentation of the working group on secure emergency communication in crisis situations for industry, service providers and local authorities.

 

We present four types of communication (Tetra/DMR, paging, mobile phone/LTE, satellite communication) and explain the respective advantages and disadvantages of using them for emergency communication

 

1. What is the primary purpose of the technology? 

(Voice, data, alerting, control)

2. How self-sufficient is it in a crisis? 

(Infrastructure, energy requirements, fallback)

3. What range/coverage does it offer?

4. For which target groups and applications is it particularly suitable?
