About Oberst d.R. Sven Heursch
Sven Heursch studied computer science and completed various technical training courses with the German Armed Forces, including as a radar technician and combat electronics technician. He served as an officer in various roles in the Air Force, including as an operations officer in Afghanistan. In his final years with the German Armed Forces, Sven Heursch was responsible for strategically relevant armament projects at the Ministry of Defence. After his service, he worked as a strategy consultant for a global digitalisation company. In this context, he worked very closely with global defence companies. Since August 2025, Sven Heursch has been responsible at HENSOLDT for the cross-divisional digital transformation of the product portfolio under the banner of Software-Defined Defence (SDD)."
