The 9th PMRExpo took place 24 to 26 November 2009 at the Koelnmesse. With 169 exhibitors from 14 countries at 2,519 m² exhibit space (2008: 148 exhibitors at 1,620 m²), more than 400 registrations for the 2-day colloquium and more than 500 participants in the congress on command centres the numbers from last year were again exceeded. Especially the size of the exhibit space increased enormously to more than 155.5 % compared to 2008. We are also very pleased with the increase in the numbers of visitors by 31.45 % from 2,000 last year to 2,629 this year.
PMRExpo 2009 took place under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Pinkwart, Minister for Innovation, Science, Research and Technology and Deputy Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Parallel to the traditional elements exhibition, colloquium and congress on command centres, the PMeV, a German association for professional mobile services, organized two sessions – “Shared Networks” and “Werkfeuerwehr” which offered goal-directed information for a specialized circle of participants. All elements of PMRExpo were rated with good and very good assessments by participants and exhibitors alike.
Uwe Jakob, Managing Director of PMeV and speaker of the PMRExpo advisory board expressed extreme satisfaction with PMRExpo 2009: "As supporter of PMRExpo the PMeV is happy about the great success. The enormous increase in the size of the exhibit space shows that we could open up the potential of exhibitors better by moving to Cologne. But especially the increase in daily visitors confirms that moving to Cologne and therewith getting closer to big economic regions was right without a doubt."
